“Dear Friends of Queen Mary’s College, inspiring women of today and leaders of tomorrow” – these were my words that kicked off an unforgettable day at Queen Mary’s College.
It was truly an honor to receive an invitation from this historic institution, the First Women’s College of Madras. I was the Guest of Honour for Madras Day Celebrations conducted by Department of Geography and Tourism.
My one-hour session on Women Empowerment, Patriotism, and the History of Madras was met with enthusiasm and warmth from the students. The NCC cadets welcomed me with a guard of honor, and I had the privilege of distributing certificates to the students. The standing ovation at the end left me deeply humbled. Being part of this 110-year-old legacy is something I will cherish forever. Thank you, Queen Mary’s College, for the respect and love you’ve shown me!

I had the honor of being the Chief Guest for the Valedictory event of The Chennai Photowalk’s (CPW) Eyes of Madras 6.0 on December 8, 2024. Held at the Art Houz Gallery, the exhibition was a magnificent celebration of creativity and talent. It showcased 161 captivating images across five themes contributed by 101 participants, along with a digital display of 71 images by 71 participants. Over three days, the event attracted nearly 2000 visitors. It was a privilege to acknowledge the remarkable efforts of the participants by presenting certificates and mementos, including those in the digital segment. My heartfelt congratulations to CPW and everyone involved for making Eyes of Madras 6.0 an outstanding success!
