Cholamandal Artists Village and Nepal Art Council conducted four days of Art Exhibition in Chennai. The modern and contemporary works of six Nepal artists were exhibited.
Before the exhibition, the artists participated in one week of painting workshop. The artists were expected to paint what they saw and experienced in India.
I was honored by getting an opportunity to help the artists by taking them on heritage walks to various places in Mamallapuram. Shri Sagar SJB Rana, the descendant of the Nepal Rana family and a well-known author, and his wife, Smt Brinda, accompanied the artists on these tours. It was my pleasure taking the group to various sites and explaining our culture, heritage and history.
